About the Event
It's tradition to stay up all night on Shavuot and learn Torah. We thought we'd get a head start with a series of mini TEDx style talks which you can enjoy while you bake your cheesecake (or any other Shavuot food or decor you fancy).
All LGBT+ Jewish non-binary people and women welcome and feel free to invite your housholds to listen in.
We'll announce the speakers and talks through the week so keep an eye out so you can start to get excited!
Schedule (subject to change) will be:
1pm: Welcome
1.15: 1st speaker
1.30: 2nd speaker
1.45: optional break out rooms/ bathroom break
1.55: 3rd speaker
2.10: 4th speaker
2.25: close
There will be an opportunity to stay on the call afterwards to chat about any of the talks if there is appetite.

Talk 1 by Maya
From Psalms to Zemirot, from Seder Night to Yom Kippur, traditional Jewish liturgy is filled with poetry. We'll take a glance at some of those age-old words, before looking at some homegrown poetic interpretations of sacred moments.
